EuropeSending goods to Europe by road after Brexit: what paperwork do you need?
The paperwork for sending goods from Great Britain to the EU by road: EORI, export declarations, commodity codes, invoices, Incoterms, import VAT and carnets.
One van, one driver, your consignment only. We collect when you need us and drive straight to the delivery address, with live updates on the way and signed proof of delivery at the end.

What we do
Most delivery services are built around sorting. Your parcel is collected on a round, taken to a depot, scanned, loaded onto a trunk vehicle, sorted again and delivered on another round the next day. That works for anything that can wait and fits the size bands.
A same-day courier works differently. When you book with us, a single vehicle is assigned to your consignment. The driver collects it, secures it and drives directly to the delivery address. Nobody else's goods are added, there is no hub in the middle, and the person who loads your goods is the person who hands them over and takes the signature.
That is why businesses call us when a production line is waiting for a part, when signed contracts must reach a solicitor before completion, when a pallet missed the network cut-off, or when a chilled consignment cannot sit in a depot overnight.

Courier services
Choose the service that matches the job, or tell us what you need to move and we will recommend one. Every service uses a dedicated vehicle unless you book multi-drop.
How it works
You do not need an account, a label printer or a drop-off point. A booking usually takes a few minutes.
Collection and delivery postcodes, what you are sending, its size and weight, and when it needs to arrive.
We confirm the vehicle, the price and an estimated collection time before you commit.
The driver checks the goods against the booking, loads and secures them, and sets off directly.
You get updates while the job is live, and we call you if anything affects the delivery time.
The recipient signs, and we send you their name and the delivery time as proof of delivery.
Read the full booking process, including what happens if nobody is available to receive the goods.
Our vehicles
Sending a bigger van than you need costs more. Sending one that is too small means a second trip. We ask for dimensions and weight because they decide the vehicle, and we would rather check than guess.
A useful rule: if you can lift every item on your own and the whole load would fit in an estate car, a small van will do. Pallets, furniture and long items need a larger van, and anything one person cannot lift safely is a job for the tail lift. Figures vary by model.
If you are moving pallets, how many pallets fit in a van works through the numbers.

Industries
A legal completion, a clinical sample and a stand graphic for a trade show all have a deadline, but the risks are different. We plan each job around what matters in your sector.
Why dedicated
A dedicated courier is not always the cheapest option, and we will tell you if a parcel network would do the job. For typical market prices and what affects them, see how much a same-day courier costs. This is how the two compare.
| Item | Dedicated same-day courier | Standard parcel network |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery time | Same day, often within hours of collection | Usually next working day or later |
| Handling | Loaded once, unloaded once | Several scans, sorts and vehicle transfers |
| Size and weight | Anything that fits the van, up to Luton size | Strict size bands and weight limits |
| Collection | When you need it, day or night | Fixed collection windows or drop-off points |
| Delivery to a named person | Standard, with signature | Often left with a neighbour or in a safe place |
| Cost | Priced per job by distance and vehicle | Lower per parcel for small, non-urgent items |
If the consignment is urgent, valuable, fragile, heavy or awkwardly shaped, a dedicated vehicle removes most of the things that go wrong in transit. If it is a small box that can arrive tomorrow, a parcel service will be cheaper. Our guide to dedicated couriers and parcel networks covers this in more depth.
Coverage
We collect from and deliver to any address in England, Scotland and Wales, from city-centre offices to farms and industrial estates. Vans are dispatched from wherever the nearest suitable vehicle is, and long routes are planned within drivers' hours rules. For Europe, we run dedicated vans across the Channel.

It depends on where the nearest suitable vehicle is when you call. We give you an estimated collection time before you confirm the booking, and we keep you updated if anything changes. If the timing matters, tell us the latest acceptable delivery time and we will work back from it. Here is how a booking runs from start to finish.
No. Express parcel services still put your item through depots and sorting hubs, usually with a size and weight limit and a delivery window. A same-day courier sends a dedicated vehicle that collects your goods and drives directly to the delivery address. Nothing else is loaded, so there are no transfers and no waiting for a route to fill. Our guide to dedicated couriers and parcel networks compares the two in detail.
Most journeys within England and Wales, and many between England and Scotland, can be completed on the same day. Van drivers in Great Britain can drive for up to 10 hours a day, so for very long routes such as London to Aberdeen we will tell you at booking whether we need a second driver or an overnight plan. Courier coverage explains how we handle remote areas.
We do not carry hazardous goods that need ADR handling, live animals, firearms, cash or illegal items. Our largest vehicle is a Luton van with a tail lift, so loads beyond its size or weight need a lorry, and we will say so rather than overload a van. Anything else is usually fine if it is packed for transport. The terms and conditions list prohibited items in full.
Yes. We run dedicated vans from any mainland UK address into Europe, handling the Channel crossing and working with your customs agent on the paperwork.
